LAUNCHING THE SAMSUNG GALAXY A51 AND A01 IN THE USA TODAY STARTED FROM $ 109.

Galaxy A51, Galaxy A21 and other affordable phones are heading to the US.
The Galaxy A01, significantly cheaper starting at $ 109, is
equipped with a 5.7-inch display and two rear lenses: a 13-megapixel main
camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Combined with a 3000 mAh battery and 16
GB of memory (expandable to 512 GB via microSD) and 2 GB of RAM, this is a real
budget option.
U.S. consumers looking for affordable options among the best Samsung phones haven’t had much choice - until now, as the brand announced, the Samsung Galaxy A51 and A01, starting today for $ 109, with other A-series phones coming this summer.

Budget Galaxy A01 and Galaxy A51 reach the US first. Starting today, Thursday, April 9, consumers can purchase the A51 with a triple rear camera, including 48-megapixel main shooting, as well as ultra-wide and macro lenses. Its 6.5-inch AMOLED display with a hole for punching and a 4000 mAh battery marks this as a less sophisticated, yet powerful version of its flagship Samsung Galaxy S20 line of phones - but starting at the much more affordable $ 399.

The rest of the A series phones will appear later in the summer (Q2 and Q3 2020). These will include the Galaxy A11 and Galaxy A21 priced between $ 179 and $ 249, respectively, as well as the larger Galaxy A51 5G ($ 499) and larger Galaxy A71 5G ($ 599). More information, including specs and camera failures, can be found on the Samsung blog.

SAMSUNG BUDGETARY INVASION IN THE USA.

These affordable phones are likely to find a more susceptible consumer base than they usually are, as people limit their spending during a coronavirus outbreak.

But the A51 and its siblings also represent a shift in strategy for Samsung. Earlier in the US, we saw a budget Samsung smartphone here or there, offered by carriers, but this seems like a more extensive plan.

Plus, this probably explains why we did not see the SamsungGalaxy S10 Lite or Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite - both exciting budget flagshipdemos at CES 2020 - launch in the US, as they could overlap price and functionpoints with the A-series.

Regardless of whether the A51 was intended or not for the United States, they will offer good specs at decent prices that could rival the rumors of the iPhone 9 and Google Pixel 4a before these heavyweights seem ready to launch. But Samsung phones will have a clear advantage: we already know that the A51 5G and A71 5G will be able to connect to 5G networks.
